Default Here's the latest pile of crap I've stepped into...

Short & sweet, it looks like I have pancreatic cancer. If you know anything about that, it's a very aggressive and bad assed form of cancer. That's what Steve Jobs died from and also what my Mom died from. Jobs put up the good fight but it finally got him and my mother was dead 2 weeks after she was diagnosed. It all depends. Been in Largo med for the past several days. They just sent me home because they got me stabilized and took care of some preliminary proceedures but they can't do any more for me. We're treading water right now till I can get into Tampa General to have Dr. Alex Rosemurgy do a Whipple Procedure on me. (Wikipedia that one for some interesting reading) He's supposed to be the best in the world at this and that's what I need. My other Dr.'s at Largo Med are more optimistic now than when I first went in. The location of the mass is fairly easily accessible and also squeezed my bile duct closed which brought on symptoms that got me into the Dr. a lot sooner than normally would have happened, i.e. we found it early. Got a little luck rolling on my side.

So, like I said, just treading water right now. If any of you have any pull with TGH or with Dr. Rosemurgy, I'm accepting any help or pressure anyone can bring to bear on them to get me in ASAP before I loose my time advantage.

Don't know when or even if I'll get back on here but keep an eye out. There may be a Cremesicle Coupe garage sale out soon. If so and any of you take advantage of my wife's lack of knowlege and her desire to unload the hated Mustang parts, I'll haunt you forever.

I'm good to go with however things turn out. I've always felt that quick and as painless as possible was a good way to exit stage left.

Updates to follow when possible.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes, guys. I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude. There have been some encouraging developments ofer the past few days. The mass is in a very operable place in the head of the pancreas. Apparently we have caught it real early because of it's location, it pinched off my bile duct forcing me to go in with symptoms that would not have appeared till much later after it had grown much bigger. I have an appointment with Dr. Rosemurgy on the 16th. My research indicates that he's the best in the world. Soo, we're rolling along.

And, Joe, I am full of piss and vinegar. Trouble is my piss looked like a glass of Coke for about a week.
