I spent 32 years as a firefighter there, mostly on the south side, I don't know if it's the worst, but it certainly sucks quite a bit. They killed 3 cops there this year, but what most people don't know is that they've shot at firetrucks, (a guy was shot in the back of mine on 22 st south) they have shot up fire stations (my personal vehicle was hit during one of these) and they've shot and wounded several cops there over the past couple of years, they also shot up a rescue team this past year. so it was great fun, as long as you lived through it.
