ill guess ill test the ect sensor and see what happens, when i hav the pump on (with fuel pump controller, i can turn it on without cranking) i have it set to about 30psi. havent been able to see what running pressure is cuz the car would stall out soon as i let off of the gas.

i dunno, im a lil confused on proper fuel line routing from what i was reading on aeromotive's website. i might just call the techline. this is from their sites FAQ

"Unlike a standard or “dead-head” carb regulator, which controls pressure between itself and the carburetor inlet, a bypass regulator creates and controls pressure between itself and the pump. Therefore, the correct EFI regulator location is after the fuel rail(s) whenever possible, promoting the required fuel pressure, flow volume and velocity through the fuel rail and to the injector inlet, at all times. Most Aeromotive EFI regulators have two inlet ports, one on each side, and one bypass port, on the bottom. Either inlet may be used with a single fuel rail engine, both inlets with a dual fuel rail. Any unused inlet ports must be blocked with the appropriate port plug. The ideal flow-path is: out of the fuel pump, into one end of the rail; out the other end of the rail, into the regulator side port(s); out the regulator bottom port, back to the tank at the top. Dual rail applications should employ a Y-block to split the supply line before entering the rails, then individual lines are run from the opposite end of each rail to each inlet port on the regulator."

sounds like they are describing sumthing like this

So if you are running a complete Aeromotive fuel system with A1000, I assume you are not running stock injectors or a stock mass air? I can't see why you would have that fuel system without a need to support other things. I know when I changed all those items, my car wouldn't run on a stock computer either. I needed a custom chip to allow for all the other changes. Are you running a chip? Did you try to add that chip to the new ECU? Even though the computers aren't much different in stock form, your chip was probably burned specifically for that ECU. You might have more issues now, if you tried to add that chip to a different ECU.

PS. If you did swap those chips around, then I would only be able to point you to Rob @ Fordspeed. Trust me when I say, he is worth getting a trailer and taking your car down to him.

how far is largo from brooksville (still learning the area)

I got the car as a roller and it had the fuel system in it already and made nosense to go back to stock fuel system when i am going to turbo the car when i get it running right. so it is stock injectors and maf. the car ran before with the a9p ecu but not now with the a9l. I think i might have got a bad ecu so thats why i want to try a known good ecu to see if that is the problem. also the ecu does not have a chip in it, it is best to my knowledge a stock ecu.

for future reference, anyone willing to trailer my car down to fordspeed if possible and how much. i know of a tow company that does 35 bucks anywhere in hernando county but largo is a lil bit out of the range

Brookesville on (I think) Wednesday nights there's usually a get together near the Panera Bread, I'll try to get more info, there was a thread on it on one of the other pages. Obviously it's been awhile since I have been there. Also there is Sumter Cruisers, mostly pre 75 old cars and old guys (like me). I happen to live in Bushnell not far from I75.
My 99 also has an IRS in it and then there's the autocross car.
