I think technically i'm there but dont want to admit it. Along with needing a license.. Chassis cert on cage.. etc etc etc..

This greed thing with wanting to go just a little faster I need to get a handle on.. I know there is a lot more left in the tuning.. definite will handle way more boost.. Injectors are starting to get up there.. and the transmission needs some attention with tightening up of the converter.. These are growing pains.. What can I say

The back pressure I had Rob at Fordspeed tig a female 1/8 NPT steel bung on my drivers side header. Its basically a female coupler 1/8x1/8 npt(bought at Goodyear on 49th street in St Pete). I screwed in a 1/8 NPT male to a 1/8 pipe compression. Went to Advance bought a roll of 1/8 copper tubing(used for gauges).. left it coiled up.. and hooked up my oil pressure sending unit to the other end since it was right next to the drivers side header and needed no wiring in my case. pretty simple..

I like the Mustang, but feel the Buick crowd is more tight knit. Maybe because the cars where only made for two years everyone is together more. Less hate. The Mustang crowd has too much dislike mixed in.. carb guys hate EFI guys.. SN95 guys hate 5.0's.. Nitrous guys hate turbo guys.. big blocks vs small blocks..Cobra guys hate SN95 guys.. 05+ Mustangs feel better than the earlier ones.. The have each one of the body styles separated.. when it all should be the same. I find it hard getting involved in the Ford communitty.. its alright.. i'm doing my thing and enjoying the car.. no dislikes.. it would have cost 2X at least to get a Buick to run this like.. and be very specialized.. this is a motor I threw together in my garaje 3 years ago and now has 300+ passes. Really neat i've had several local shops help in the process like All American, Fordspeed, ProFab, etc to make my life easier. With a Buick.. good luck..its very uphill..

The TA hit a performance wall. That majic number was 133 MPH. fastest pump gas TTA in the country..Mid 10's.. thats when the heads on that particular engine say "thats it" and you start popping HG's. To have remied it would have required changing over to Buick aluminum heads, Buick headers, and build a custom down pipe and IC. Car had 20K miles. I couldnt justify spending 10K to do that.. then to make matters worse.. so in the end I have a 9 sec TTA.. big deal.. no classes for it to compete, just a very specialized vehicle with a lot of money tied into it= money pit big time.

My business is 90+ % GM, Ford is a few points.. I thought to my self.. Ford guys dont get this injection stuff.. they walk right by the Buicks and TTA.. like it doesnt exist.. let me build a Mustang and put up some numbers.. The TTA I had went back to 100% bone stock numbers matching.. I parked it under a cover and started losing interest in driving a slow car that was more grief as I was afraid of a door ding or even putting miles on it. One day I found a rats nest in the back of the engine compartment.. that was it.. time for sale. And I sold it.

The mods I took of that car paid for the Mustang.. and here I am a few years latter trying to be diligent about what mods I do to the car..

Whats funny is a low 9 second Mustang is nothing really special now days.. But it could be worse.. it could be a low 13 second Mustang.. I think a high 8 is well within reach right now.. mid 8.. possible.. but I dont know if I really want to go there(parachute, license, hans, pants, gloves, shoes, etc). Just making these passes I can defenitely see coolant temps rise way faster with the added power.. and the trans is also not as happy.. so its like you change one thing and something else pops up.. always..

Sorry for the rant.. i'll keep pushing and working on the known little crap like boost controller and tightening of the tq converter.
