What a fucking joke. I got a speeding ticket and went to pay it. They asked if I wanted to go to school to lose the points I said sure ( mind you it was my choice to go or not to ). Well I was going through HELL at that time in life and I forgot to go to the class I VOLUNTEERED to go to . Well now I get a letter that I have to pay $40 and whatever the restitution fee is to reinstate my license... WTF . I would understand if the class was required but I fucking volunteered ...I never heard of anything like this. So Im out $100

 

You seriously dont understand that you are accountable for your actions(or lack thereof)?

 

By you electing the class in the first place your original fine was likely reduced...no one would volunteer to take a class they didn't have to lol.

 

No I get it ..I was surprised and kinda thought Id just not lose the points. I paid the full fine for the ticket..

hate to break it to you but when you signed up for the class you also agreed that if you didnt do it your licnese would be suspensed

 

They got me for the same thing, mine was cause I was an idiot and assumed the school sent the DMV the info. Luckily I didn't have to pay anything else since the judge saw i took the class in well enough time.


If you paid the full ticket price you would not be required to attend the school to have the points removed.

 

Guess I should have read the fine print lol..Oh well lesson learned

He said he paid the full ticket price, meaning he did not elect to take the driver improvement class with the discounted fine. If that was the case his license would not have been suspended for failing to take the required class since there would be no required class to take.

Sounds like he paid the discounted rate without knowing what he was doing.
