as far as i know from recent experience you dont pay anyless if you do the class. instead you pay MORE (ticket + class) and in return simply dont get any points

if you sign up for the class they take off 18% off the ticket. then when you go to the class you pay for the class there not when you pay the ticket

They discount the ticket plretty close to the same amount that the class costs you - so that's a wash - but not having the points on your license for the next 4-5 years of increased insurance...that's priceless.
