Melatonin doesn't do it alone for hardcore awakies like the OP, you also have to prepare for sleep. And with the conomy this way, it's hard for people to fall asleep thinking about all of their problems they need to deal with.

Run/walk a couple miles in the morning as soon as you wake up, the point is to get your heart rate up. Then at night drink a shot of Jack, unless your doctor told you to stay away then have a glass of red wine. If you have Melatonin then go with that. Then relax, and clear your head.

If all else fails, have a family member slap the back of your head with a shovel the minute you walk into the bedroom.

Again, enter the green zone!

My main objection is that I have the absolutely lamest dreams once I fall asleep, though. Usually, when I sleep, I have these amazing and incredibly video game like dreams. They're so absolutely cool and oftentimes semi-lucid. When I fall asleep with some assistance, I dream about living a normal day in my life - just a simple, normal day from start to end. How fucking lame is that?

But yeah. Something to relax you, lay down and watch some T.V. Out like a light in an hour or two tops.

Yeah but it's supposed to be harder for you to fall asleep with TV before bed, and for me this is true. Unless of course the show is boring as fuck. I usually keep some boring ass shows in my netflix que like Cosmos and I play those at night before bed.

Wild China is another good one, but only if you've already seen all the episodes and know what they are about. If not expect to stay awake for another hour.

When I'm having a lot of trouble falling asleep, if there is melatonin around, I will usually take one 5mg pill to fall asleep, and one 3mg slow release capsule to keep me asleep.
