* TEAM ASSOCIATED Factory Team RC8Be (1/8 scale) w/ Mamba Monster + 2650kv Neu motor

Next... I am seriously thinking of a SHORT COURSE TRUCK... Perhaps TRAXXAS SLASH 4X4 or JAMMIN. Idk yet... Right now, both Associated cars or my most recent builds and needs to teeking here and there for the TC5 to run at the speeds and performance I would like and as for the RC8Be, well just finished the actual build. There is plenty of fine tunning and tweeking to be done all around for both cars but mostly on the RC8Be. I am also in the works of doing a actual design on one of the RC8Be Buggy bodies I picked up. Besides the nice metallic and pearl jobs I have done already, I am actually going to attempt a nice fading flame job! Scetched out the flames yesterday on the protective film with a sharpie marker. Should be fun. Till all is complete on my plate... I am going to chill and just finish what I have and have fun!

i kinda dabbled with nitros just to get my feet wet...next car im gonna get is the sc8e rtr with the mamba max, best bang for the buck right now ... as soon as it comes out im getting it.. then gonna get factory team shocks for it and it should good to go ..
also thinking bout the sc10 factory team...
who knows what ill end up with.
I had the slash 4x4 and the 2wd, great bash mobiles.
btw the rc8 ft looks great!

 

Hmmmmm. Might have to check out that SC8-10...wasn't the SC8e discontinued???

 

the sc8 kit was discontinued.. thats the one i had and i sold it, the truck never even saw a battery pack lol.. now they have a rtr sc8e pre built and mamba monstered out with a 2.4 ghz radio for cheaper than what i put mine together for .

 

Yeah... I saw it... $600 OUCH! I just checked and its not available right now...SOON!

But then again... I paid $400.00 for my RC8Be Kit ONLY! No electrictronics what so ever! Just chassis, wheels/tires, suspension and body...

 

Ok... As promised, here is 1 of 2 bodies I am working some magic on... Or trying. LOL! I wanted to do my own design of a FLAME paint scheme but with can paint only. I do no have a airbrush kit nor have I ever used one. All I posses is 5 (different colors) cans of RC piant , a lil jar of Rally Green, paint brush and a lil natrual talent of drawing a here and there. So, here it is....

Pics still suck! Fiance still has my SONY pns so I am taking all these pics on this thread with my BLACKBERRY STORM... I will be taking some SONY shots here soon of a quick wrap up and final build.

Just to explain a lil what you are seeing... Masked my own home made stencil flames applied with 3m painters tape with EDGE GUARD. Masked flames trimmed in RALLY GREEN with a medium fine brush (purposely not a clean edge giving that ripped torn look). Backed with METALIC BLACK and finished the tail end fading to INDY SILVER. Peeled the flames while opaint still tacky, and started the close to pull away strokes of BRIGHT YELLOW, COMPETITION ORANGE, METALLIC RED and METALLIC BLUE (although the METALLIC BLUE came out a lil darker then anticipated or desired for my effect I was shooting for).... and HERE IT IS 5 hrs later...

 

nice paint scheme, im more of a one color guy and i decal it out because i cant paint for crap .. as for you paying 400 for your rc8be...it was a factory team car right?
