My bad, I haven't seen it in a while so my memory of the flick are vague, But if my memory is correct, In the movie, The Government has a large role to play in the downfall of the human civilization.
Sorta like the government giving over to the degenerant "gatorade" type company and watering the plants with the shit, makes perfect sense to them cause the drink has "ELECTROLYTES" but then, WTF?!?!? No crops??!?!?! How could this be, the drink has "ELECTROLYTES", why is nothing growing?!?!?
It's only a matter of time.
But on a sidenote, what obama llama did with GM... Didnt Hitler try to do the same thing with Volkswagon?
