for real though i do want tohave something done about things as well. i am sick of not being able to get a job cuz of how far down things are sinking and have a non convicted felony for possestion when there are murderers out there working with little kids and and getting a job over me when i have the skills for a trade.

 

The simple answer would be bring personal accountability back to America.
If you work, you eat.
If you don't, you lose weight, then maybe you'll be thin enough to work.
Too many people feel the government owes them. No one owes you anything.
Work for it.
I have been very poor and very well off at different times in my life. When I was poor, I didn't go out, drink, party, buy things, I worked 2 full time jobs and painted houses on the side, repaired peoples' cars, and helped another guy who was a handyman when I was free.
Too many people sit on their ass and cry how bad they have it.
if those people got off their asses, went to work, and took a burden off of the economy, then we could get rid of our crooked politicians and have a better run country.

That's a little different sounding than what it sounded like before. If I misinterpreted, my apologies. Yep, life's tough and we do what we have to do to get by. I'm in the same boat. I can still pay my bills but the thread is skinny and frayed. It won't take much to tip the scales. But even if it does tip, that doesn't mean that I deserve the government to bail me out or pay for my health care. I've been paying social security and medicare for almost 50 years and I'll probably never see any of it. If I do, it will not be anything near what I have paid in. My money has gone to someone else and this recent round of bullshit has just about wiped out my retirement. The only one's that will be taking care of my old ass is my family...if hey can. If they can't, well who knows? I guess I'll just keep on keeping on.

If you thought and STILL think that Obama was the lesser of two evils, good luck to you, but I don't hold out much hope for you and the rest of the country.

Sheeut, I don't even remember which one it was. It was back in the school days for about 4 years. I worked for a place called Cook Paint and Varnish Co. in Kansas City. The only benefit I could see that I got from being a union guy was that they would let me work.

It did provide me with my first picture of how unions "ad value" to the price of everything though. "Yo, Kid, don't open that valve, you're a batcher. You pick which valve needs to be opened. You can't open the valve. You'll have to call up a valve opener to open the valve. But when you do that, be sure you have a valve closer standing by to close the valve. The valve opener can't close the valve. Only a valve closer can close the valve. If the valve doesn't get closed, the paint will spill and we'll have to evacuate the plant until the cleaner-upers clean it up. Do you have a mixer scheduled to mix the paint after the valve opener opens the valve and the valve closer closes the valve? If not, we'll have to call the scheduler so he can schedule you a mixer. And your issues with unions is? It may sound dumd to somw by reading that, but people having a place and staying in thier craft guideline saves lives and jobs (^^^ extreem but comical). That like me and Riverhead. Hes a Teamster and I'm an Iron Worker. Crane runs outta iron I go jump in a truck and pull a load of steel from the yard to the site. No worries right? Could I possibly manuver that truck and get it done? Maybe & most likely. Am I qualified, have lisences, and able to GUARANTEE you I can get it there safely through NY Shitty? After crushing a few hundred cars and takin down some light poles and paralizing the traffic in my path. They didnt let you work? Huh... Maybe you didnt pay your dues? Money? no!!
