Obama really doesnt pass any laws. He has the authority to sign them into law and veto them. Thats it. Congress and Senate makes the laws. Those people are the crooks and the lobbyists that pay them for their endorsements are what is, for lack of a better phrase, making the rich richer and the poor poorer.

As far as signing bills into law by the president, the president has cabinet members and officials that basically inform the president of what he should do. That being said, I know most of you have spoken to lawyers and they do have a particular way how they word things to make something sound much, MUCH better than it actually is. Politicians do the same thing.

I hate politicians in general but as far as Obama goes, he was the lesser of two evils. I know everyone likes to bitch about how tax and the welfare system works but I am part of that group that doesnt make enough money to pay for all their expenses. My girlfriend and I barely have enough to pay the bills and to top it off, she is pregnant. We are going to have to pay $240 every two weeks just for health insurance on her and the baby, that being said, anything that keeps me from paying more into the government is what Im going to go with.

Anyway....Why should I move to Mexico? I was born here, I served my country, and so now I DESERVE to be here. Thats more than some freaking mexican fresh out of the river can say. Ship his ass back to Mexico. I don't care if he DOES do jobs that Americans won't do.

You see, it isn't that Americans "wont do" certain jobs. It's that we refuse to do them unless we are compensated for the crap work that it is. Whereas an illegal will do ANYTHING in order to remain undetected and stay here. So, they are also paying a high price. It's just not a monetary figure.

I agree that we should punish the businesses that employ illegals. Damn, fine them $10,000 for each one that they are employing and make it a per day fine. It will get expensive mighty quick.

The Unions are (as Dr.Dirt said) simply legalized extortion rings. I watched many many years as the machinist unions held Boeing's balls and squeezed them for more medical benifits. Boeing gave in, and the workers suffered a skimpy christmas, but they got their benifits.

Next on my griping list...American Indians. Didn't we take over the country? This is OUR land bitches! GTFO with your non-tax paying asses. We came, we conquered, and by our good graces, you have been allowed to keep land tax free. The free ride should end already. Hell, it's been a LOOOONG time now. (I'm part Cherokee, so I am allowed to gripe about it. LOL ) I think the white man had payed for his ANCESTORS sins enough already. Hell, I didn't kill any indians...Why do I have to pay for their kids crap?

Oh yeah, what about this NAFTA crap too? The one way highway....Where Mexican trucks can use our highways to transport things to Canada....FREE OF CHARGE! They don't have to pay taxes on the loads, they don't have to have AMERICAN DRIVERS LICENSES, and their trucks don't have to meet American safety standards! WTF???? Cut that crap out NOW!

I am a RETIRED TEAMSTER from New York (local 282) not all union workers make $80.00 an hr. as you seem to think. Just remember back in the 30,s people died trying to get fair pay for there work, and to get rid of sweat shopes and child lobor, UNIONS made this country great, and they still do. And as for President Obama, at least he is trying to do something to bring back our way of life that we were used to befor the eight years of our past leader that got us in the fucking mess we have now. They only cared about the rich fuckers in this country , and the rest of us got shit on. I hope he hits a grand slam homerun for us, only time will tell, but at least he,s trying, I just wonder what would be like now if the Republicans were still in office, how much worse it would get for us, since they didnt care what was happing to us common folk in the last eight years, I did not want to get involved in this bullshit, but enough is enough----Al

Some of you guys need to do a search on here for "Barstool Economics". That was the greatest piece of wisdom I have seen posted on this board or anywhere else for that matter. Obama is a socialist. period. This country was founded on capitolistic ideas and dreams. If everyone is equal, then where is the incentive to excell? There isn't any other than personal gratification. Why then, are we allowing him to grasp us by the balls and put us into our little cubicles and tell us to do mindless jobs for the same pay as someone else who does less? Of course, the polititians are not going to take a pay cut in order to help out the average poor folk. Hell no...They just keep giving themselves raises.

All that is happening currently, is the rich are getting a LOT richer by preying on the poor, and the poor are getting even poorer. Do you think that the rich are hurting right now? HELL NO! They have the money to invest and take advantage of this shitstorm. And when it's over, they will own 9/10 of America...and we will be working for them just like slaves.

yes i have kinda screwed myself over a bit but i have been trying so hard to find a job. but i am not being picky neither. i dont care if the job is shoveling shit in the rain i would take about anything. even though i do have skills that should land me better jobs that i busted my ass getting and learning. and going into the army is not even an option for me right now. i cant even do that. hell i have heard stories from older people telling me that when they were younger they got into trouble and the judge asked them if they wanted to go to jail or the army, why cant that still be in effect today? and as far as the bourder patrol, if i could i would join in a heart beat if i could. give me a high power rifle and lets just see how many people cross over that bourder. but then again you have people from the states that are helping them cross over as well.

Whoah whoah whoah. Thats not the point I was making. I work my ass off. My GF and I both work 40+ hours a week and we barely make ends meet. I dont collect welfare and never will, I was stating that the way the tax system works under Obama I have to pay less of them than say someone that makes more money than I do. I think thats pretty fair. As far as the rest of what I stated I was more or less pointing out that Obama doesnt make laws. He passes them, or veto's them. In which congress and the senate and over rule the veto by voting in which case the process starts over.

The healthcare issue however, I dont agree with the system that works here at all. I pay for health insurance and then when I get sick I pay more to go to the doctor. The movie "Sicko," even if it is a Michael Moore movie is pretty eye-opening. Pharmaceutical companies and the healthcare industry as a whole is pretty much a scam. People in other countries have free healthcare and the doctors that provide in them are still compensated. The only difference is that the medical professionals are paid by taxes instead of insurance or out of my pocket. Yes I know it comes out of my paycheck in the form of taxes but the way it works here now is exactly the same for police or firemen.

The whole problem with that situation is the pharmaceutical companies have their fat cocks up these politicians asses in the form of lobbyists and donating generous sums of money to election campaigns.

Fuck it all, I know the whole system is just fucked beyond repair or FUBAR'd if you will. What can I do, nothing. I can take it up the ass because no fucking body can agree on a damn thing to do about it. What happened to compromise?
