Pull the headlites, tailites, and some trim $250 - $500 and you can get a decent paint job..with a warranty from Maaco. Well worth it if it will bring a couple g's more. Just dont do a color change from wha te jambs and other places are painted

 

I took my Cobra to Maaco and had a color change and didn't take anything off it. (trim, headlights, or tail lights or anything else) I did it when they were doing their 1/2 price sale or something. I got the jambs done and everything. I think it cost me like $550. Plus I got a 3 or 4 year warrantee. (I cant remember right now...) But Maaco did a better job on my car than Econo did on my wife's car.

 

Yep..I heard if you dont pull the simple stuff neither will they .

 

Maaco did, but Econo didn't. I still have crap on my "FORD" emblem on the trun of the wife's vert. And....When you pay for the jambs and under the hood to be done at Econo, they will claim that their paint gun is (get this) "THREE FEET LONG". and they can't get down by the hinges on an SN-95 mustang, properly. That was the excuse they gave me anyway when I took it back in and pointed out that they had not done under the nose of the car, or the drivers side under the hood. (And I'm not talking about the engine bay)

 

Bah, you get what you pay for basically.
