in Washington (as if I didn't know) thought it would be a good idea to make a low, slow pass over New York City with a 747 followed by 2 fighters? And it was all just for a photo op! Jeez, we've got half a dozen guys in this forum alone who could Photochop Airforce One with the Statue of Liberty in the background. Much cheaper (and Greener for the environment too.)

You might be right, John. I didn't see any good picture angles anywhere. Maybe they shot some film using the fighter's gun cameras.

But, on a serious note, I can't believe the volumes of absolute stupidity flowing out of DC these days.

If you actually watched the news, you would have known that the Military orchestated this photo shoot and that the President was never informed. In Interviews with The President he made it clear that he was not happy with what happenend.

 

They said on the local news that the 747 was Air Force One.

 

It was a back up Air Force One.
