Default head questions...

1. from wat i understand the 351W's intake is 2" wider than the 302 intake, correct or no?

2.will 302 heads work on a 351W, and will they raise the compression of the engine, and can i gain any type of hp/tq, on the bottom, mid and high end's?

ive heard alot of ppl say that u can pull hp/tq from 351 heads on a 302, is it the other way around too?

1) The extra intake width is from the deck height being higher, nothing else.

2) The 302 heads WILL work on a 351W, but you will need to drill out the bolt holes. How do I know this? Because I have 302 heads which I used on a 351w for some time.

3) Do they raise compression? Well, not really unless you have them decked.

4) You can only gain hp and tq numbers from interchanging the 302/351w heads if you use OLD 351w heads (1970 I think) or the old 260 heads which had the smaller combustion chambers.

This is also true $hawn. However, he asked a fairly simple and specific question. I answered as simplisticly as I could. He WOULD definatly be better off with the FRPP heads worked over than a set of stock 302 or 351w heads worked over. Of course, he would be even better off with a set of World Products or something similar worked over.

naaa, a couple buddies of mine run world products and say their shitty, personally i like brodix heads, but the price tag on them r about as much as AFR, pretty much FRPP is a good buy considering the price and hp/tq u get out of em.i dont mind paying 1200 for a set of FRPP's, but wen the next head is 18-1900 bux and only makes 10hp/tq more, its not really worth it.

I'd spend money on the WP heads before the FRPP's. Really only difference between WP's and some good aluminums is the weight difference.
