Obama's redistribution of wealth
Today on my way to breakfast (Bob Evans restaurant) -- I drove past a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed ... at least he was creative.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" necktie. I laughed again as she had given away her political preference - and she set herself up.
When the bill came, I decided not to tip the server and explained to her that I was exploring the Obama "redistribution of wealth" concept. She stood there in quiet disbelief, while I told her that I was going to redistribute her well-earned tip to somebody who I deemed more in need - the homeless guy down the street. The server angrily stormed out from my view.
I went outside, drove down the street and gave the homeless guy two bucks and told him to thank the server back at the Bob Evans, as I've decided he could use the money more more than the waitress. The homeless guy seemed puzzled but grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment, I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money that he did not earn, but the waitress was pretty angry that I gave away the money that she did earn, even though the actual recipient needed the money more than she did.
I guess "redistribution of wealth" is an easier thing to swallow as an abstract concept than in its practical application. I don't think I managed to change the server's vote, but it was worth a try.

although i envy your enthusiasm you really got Obama's entire policy completely backwards.
If you wanted to make this experiment truly realistic and practical you would've taken the portion of your bill that was going to go to the rich fucker sitting comfortably in his mansion collecting $$$ and given that to the waitress along with her usual tip. And the bum would still be sitting on the corner making more meaningless signs and trying to wash your windows with piss instead of trying to earn his/her income.

Ha! How will she ever survive without that .89 + lint you were gonna empty out of your jean shorts!?!?!
And to top it off, 89 cents probably wasn't even 10%
Seriously though, spam patrol says this ain't even you're idea...so please, try to not be so proud of yourself

Funny I know some people on this forum make over 120k and don't live in mansions. Guess thats the new rich fucker threshold.
I feel bad writing this as not wanting to share my money with other people makes me un-patriotic. (sorry Joey B
its kinda like an engine, where the lower class workers are the tiny little pieces inside and the fuel that keep the big stuff operating right.. right now our country has FORGED ALUMINUM pistons, DIAMOND CUT cams, etc.. but its got rusty sticky valves, recycled oil and filter, and its running on 86octane watered down dirty fuel.
how's that for an analogy.

GET SOME

In my opinion all politicians are lairs. I personally don't care for either candidate.
Where did you see .89 cents? Maybe someone should practice reading.
I deal with scum bags everyday. I see how they are receiving money from the government and scamming the system.
For example, but remember this is very common: There is a Jail Inmate I know of that gets monthly disability checks from our government because he can't work. But he is able everyday to go out on the recreation yard and play handball and work out. Does this sound like a person that is so disabled he can't work?
Democrat or Republican doesn't matter to me, but I sure as hell don't want a president that is going to take more of my hard earned money and give it to these lazy people because they have less than me.
Bottom line: I don't want or need anyone else's money. I just want them to stop taxing the hell out of me. They need to get rid of the loop holes that allow the rich to pay less than their share and the homeless to keep collecting when they are fully capable of working.
I found this post on one of the local websites in the Sarasota area. The guy that originally posted it says he's the one who did this. I thought it was funny so I am sharing it with all of you.
I hope who ever gets in office will sift through the bull and turn this country around. People complain all the time about this country. I've personally been to poor countries and I wouldn't live anywhere else.

I knew there would be at least one Obama fan post.

it seems like this election we have to pick the lesser of two evils... on one hand we have a man that fought and spilled blood for our country but has no plan to bring us out of this recession, who consistantly just slid by in highschool with a D average, graduated in the bottom 3% of his class in the naval academy, but has been in the government for 20+ years.
on the other hand we have a guy that has a questionable background, was in and out of this country most of his life, but always graduated in the top 10% of his class all the way thought college, many say he doesnt have enough experience in government to be a president, but he has a clear plan on how to save this country from failure.
does it matter to me what party either man is associated with? no...
does it matter to me that one man is black? no...
does it bother me that one man has a questionable health record and practically already has one foot in the grave with a total duetshbag bitch as a backup plan for this country? yes
as of right now im going to place my bets with Obama and pray that he can deliver on the change that he boasts about bringing to this country.
