So because you make 150K, 250K, or 350K+ per year means you're a "douchebag" and/or didn't bust your ass working to get to that level? Why should a person who has dumped a ton of time and effort into school, student loans, interviewing/finding the right career, and most likely dedicating a good portion of their life to succeeding in said career (whatever area it may be in) have to support some lazy, unmotivated, POS who is living off the system? When I was working through college at Enterprise off I-4/50th I saw it all the time - people who would come in and ask you to sign off that they applied and/or were interviewed for a job so they could remain on govt. assistance. I could have offered them a job on the spot and they wouldn't have taken it - they just wanted a signature to keep collecting.

I'm sorry but I don't want any part of someone's salary who is "wealthy" b/c most likely they earned it. God willing I continue on my path and get there myself, I'll be damned if I give any more of it than I legally have to to some POS sitting on his couch, waiting for a check while neglecting the needs of his family.

I'm not 100% sold on either candidate to be honest but I'm obviously more Republican than Democrat. I try not to chip in on the political threads but the "redistribution of wealth" idea, regardless of the qualifying income, absolutely pisses me off...

Ya know one thing that I find really funny? (just one here, there are lots more) Not so very long ago the Dems (and me too) were all up in arms because Bush was considering letting Dubai, a "friendly" Muslim nation handle the security of our ports. I was put in the akward situation of having to join hands with a bunch of Commie Pinko Fags, (oops, sorry, I slipped into the wayback machine inadvertently there) errr liberals and voice just exactly how stupid that idea was to put our port security in the hands of Muslims. And now, just 2 short years later, my former allies against gross stupidity in government wants to put a Muslim in the White House. Hey, I may be a war mongering, neo-con, mean, old fart but at least I'm consistent. I haven't jumped ship just because someone offered me some free money for my vote.

Well, as with all things, it came to an end. BUT, we also have to remember that without the bad, we slowly forget to appreciate the good. And again...Every administration is reliant on the previous administration. Who was in office before Clinton? Hmmm.... You see, it takes TIME for things to start looking better. It is not instant, and anyone who thinks that Obama will fix anything overnight will have to wait for the next administration to find out if anything was fixed. And of course, if things ARE fixed during Obama's administration, it will be because of Bush's policies, but Obama will get the glory.
