ok. im 17. luckily my mom had been paying for the insurance on my car, and cell phone bill. BUT now she's not doing any of that anymore.... so i desperately need a job now and not only are these bills due, but i still have a $$210.50 speeding ticket that i have to pay... so if anyone knows of a place thats hiring in or around spring hill, could you tell me please, i have applied at at least 20+ places. I can work full time doin whatever. Thank you guys very much and it would be very appreciated if you spread the word.

You still need classes and law to be an officer.



Work is out there. Most any const company will hire you as a laborer. Unless you think your too good for that. Long as your a legal American your a shoe in,.. they've been cracking down on illegals hard in the last year.

My fiance was a police officer,.. she is a detective now. Says with out a highscool degree,.. and GED is NOT the same thing,. you will never be anything but a beat cop handing out traffic tickets. You have ZERO chance for advancment.

alright... a've asked over 10 officers, fhp, and sherrifs.. and it doesnt matter... it is the same thing and will work. i even called the sherrifs office.. but alright, ill go ith it...do some research before you talk out of your ass... Devin.

 

with a ged u can still go to college , i went to usf right after i got my ged . but im not the norm .

 

a GED is not the same as a High School Diploma. I can promise if you tryed to enter my field of work with the same certifications that i have but you have a GED i can promise you i would make more than you.

 

ok, and what do you do?... ALSO does anyone in here know what ged stands for? it's General Equivalency Diploma... studying the same exact thing as in high school...

 

hmm law enforcement, well with the field of applicants that they have, especially the S.O. they can afford to take a lot of College grads, not sure who you talked to but Pinellas I believe still needs a min of a 2 year degree. Even St Pete is soon raising the req. Heck the Fire dept now to actually get a job, is req college. So dont be fooled, yes a g.e.d. will still allow you to get in College but not much else in Law enforcement or F.D. good luck,
