Wipe out almost half of the worlds population? Yeah, THATS going to happen. Think again. Thats why it isn't a viable option. Further, many men in prominant places are muslims. There is another reason why it isn't a viable option. Using the "eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth" thought process leaves everyone blind and toothless. They are trying to be bullies, and we aren't letting them bully us. I never said you had to roll over and turn muslim. Quite the oposite....I say to fight, but give us an achieveable goal. Something like a death rate or attack rate of less than 2 per week in the hot zones. THEN we will be seeing achievement.

 

Radical Islam is an illness and should be treated as such. Copious amounts of High explosives would be a good start. Then tell them that we are sorry about our economy and that our smart bombs have run out. Time to revert back to good old carpet bombing. Then throw in a few neutron bombs and tell them... see! They did have a nuclear program.

 

I hope Bush starts some crazy shit just before he departs....and then hands it over to McCain.

There is no such thing as "radical" islam. They are ALL radicals, just some are more overt about it than others. Some take up arms, others just fund, and still others simply sit back and don't do anything to stop the others.

Radical muslims are just plain muslims. they are all the same. Some act nice to your face, but as soon as you turn, they are planning ways to kill your family or more soldiers if you don't convert. Sad, but true.

More reality, some simply recite what they are told to from the quran. Thay have no idea what it actually means, only that they are required to say it. They blindly follow and bitterly fight anyone who opposes them.

 

And yet you say killing them all or throwing in the towel and becoming Muslims ourselves are not viable options? What then are we to do?

 

Maybe kill a lot of them or until they have a dis-taste for fighting. However, here in America, we have laws against what needs to be done. Thereby making it illegal to discriminate against them because of their religion. I don't make the laws....I only abide by and enforce them.

 

FWIW General John J. Pershing (of WW-1 fame) took part in the Moro uprising in the Phillipines, the Moro were (and still are, radical muslims). At one point, they captured several dozen, they executed all of them with rounds dipped in pig's blood, they cut up the bodies so they wouldn't get to "heaven", but they let the last one go to tell his buddies.
If you look at the original person called "Dracula" his name was actually Vlad the Impaler, he was noted for taking his enemies and impaling them on stakes at times , several hundred of them. His enemies were usually muslim, and in one case they (muslims) finally turned back in disgust, which turned into a prolonged peace.
IMO, Gitmo, is not torture, sawing a guy's head off on the internet is torture. I say we give as good as we take, nothing else seems to make an impression.

Yes, as I said, hopefully America will wake up...before we "nice" ourselves to death. We have to be willing to play the game like the rest of the players.

But, as you said, ALL of them are radicals. If that is the case, there is no such thing as killing "enough" of them until they are willing to leave us alone. We have the technology to protect ourselves. We just don't have the balls to do it...yet.

That's one good thing about being an old fart. I will have lived my life in the best country in the best times in the history of the Earth. For that, I am very thankfull. But I seriously worry for the rest of you kids out there. I truly don't think you realize what freedoms have been handed to you because you have never known anything else. And I don't think most of you know what it will take to preserve those freedoms. I fear that America will be the greatest shortest lived "empire" that this world has ever known. We're like a bowl of gunpowder with sparks flying all around. We are going to burn hot, brightly and very quickly.

 

I am on my 5th year living in Muslim societies from Eastern Europe to the Middle East. There is a difference between radical rag heads that their only accomplishment in life is to have been born with a penis in one hand, and a Koran in the other. Their Koran does not translate well in English. But what the fuck would I know about that?

As a matter of fact, their holly book says that a religion of people not of their own with good human rights will prevail over them. In my opinion if they need to be nuked to get their attention so be it.
