I TOTALLY agree with Amanda on these pieces of sh**!!!! (in a very sarcastic voice) Its not their fault. They are just poor victims of society and we should love and coddle them and take care of them with our tax money by providing a nice "program" for them. (sarcastic voice off) Fry them pieces of garbage!!!

Yeah, you should know right from wrong at 17 at 18. In fact you should know it on that basis in elementary school. But i think it's pretty obvious that something was very fucked up during the heavy developemental period in which of course goes back to the parents. Not letting them off the hook of course because they're responsible for their own actions. But i'll also bet you these incidents that made the news were not the first time these kids fucked up. I'm sure it was treated with a simple slap on the wrist in a way it just didn't register to them properly. Because i'm sure you don't go from little Johnny perfect to Johnny the axe murderer......

So yeah, i'd say parents are ultimately to blame. Can't place it on them once they're grown up but more or less i could only assume they fucked up some where.

I was a belt child myself and i've managed not to kill anyone thus far lol. Don't forget the good ol' fashion switch....And never bring back something to big or too small and anger them lol. But on another note, i know plenty of people who's parents weren't a part of the spanking crowd but have great values as well, so there's obviously more then one way to get r done, but there's don't seem to be all too effective.

jail is PUNISHMENT, not some place to hold someones hand and teach them right from wrong. that was thier parents job.

Jail teaches you how to commit other crimes and also teaches you not to care much.

If you want to change "jail" wont make you change for the better.

This kid slammed a little kid acting like a WWF star. Wrong yes! But at 13 he didn't need prison to teach him how to be an adult. That is all I can say about that.

Like you said, you were getting your ass whooped meaning your parents set you straight at a early age so you did know better.

it doesn't happen often, but a pop on the top of the head or a slap to the butt is what my kids get when they have pushed it too far and then when they calm down we sit and talk about why they were punished... and they're 5 and 2.5... now that isn't the first thing I do, but they know if they keep pushing it they bring the wrath of Daddy...
