i said in my post if you read it right i said either and rat snake or king snake.i saw the first pic,and thought it was one of the two,but after seeing the close up photo i would agree on it beening a rat snake.

yea i was going to say all it is is a banded water snake.. i'v been bit by them plenty of times, you might get a lil irratation around the bite but nothing too major. too bad you killed it, they're good to have around if you dont like frogs.
