it is a florida king snake or a rat snake(corn snake).i have a king snake that looks just like that is my pet.i caught him at my job 4months ago,he is 6 half feet long and very freindly.

i definatly think its a red rat. and its most likey your neighbors and it just got out. I wouldnt tell anyone you chopped it in fucking half lol. your gonna break some kids poor heart. just think how many lawns he had to mow to buy that snake
