I've had several e-mails from this guy who is interested in my 4-wheeler I'm selling. Anyway, I've placed several ads (including on Tr) and craigslist etc. But it seems odd that the first e-mail I got asked for the price and pics? I respnded by asking where he saw my ad and for him to call me so we could talk, I included a link with pics and he sent back "price?'

This guy can totally not type or its some sort of scam or something after this last e-mail it just sounds really fishy. Want some opinons on what to do, don't want some weirdo showing up to my house and I don't have a p.o box. Read below. Start from the bottom and work your way up.

That is a scam! A buddy of mine got shafted on a deal like this with a bike. The emails looked just like those. they took him for 3700. Don't send him anymore emails with your personal info. That's my .02

yea, I dunno, that's weird; I'm pretty sure that's a UK phone number; fuck it though, you're selling; get his check and cash it, if it floats, who cares? Definetly sounds euro by the way he types....

 

it is the in the UK, and is missing numbers. im from england and call there all the time, but you wont be able to call that since he left off the country code. to call him you would have to add 011 in front...(01144...) otherwise it wont go through. id say cash the check and tell him he has to wait 3 days for it to clear? but i thought some checks can clear, then the money dissapears on them? id say tell him once you recieve the check theres a 7 day processing time.
