ok i got something to start on now. im getting the motor that came out of the 02 crown vic. im not sure whats wrong exactly. but all they said was its blown. but im picking it up in a few hours. so i now have a motor to work on for the mustang.

no no no. this guy did say he's just gonna give me the 460. but im still getting the 4.6 that came out of the cron vic. people have told me befor they would do something, but never have. so im gonna keep the 4.6, and start messing with it, unless someone wanted to trade me that for a 2.3t? but i dont know whats wrong with it yet.

Good luck on the build, you have an ass load of work ahead of you to get a 4.6 in a fox, but it is kick ass when done.

are you swapping the 4.6 yourself? seems like your opening a whole big bag of worms you cant rastle.

 

+1 on the big bag of shit, especially if its your first project, things can become lost really quick over a few months.

well all i can see is that it has a spun ?baring? but thats not all to bad. the cylinder walls look fine. and yes everything would be done by me and help from others. but i want to trade it for the 2.3t if some one would be up for it. plus i do understand this wont be like a swap for a honda. i know theres alot more involved. but if i end up keeping the 4.6, its getting torn donw compleatly the built befor it goes in.
