5. Ideas for the 'social' purpose of The Club, whether it is:
a. Supporting the Metropolitan Ministries or another organization, or

6. Suggestions for best dates for club meetings,
7. New ideas, such as options and suggestions for possible local business supporting our club and activities,
8. Floor open for discussions.

I would like to thank the members and new members for coming out Monday night, January 30, to our first 2023 meeting.

Pete G. is working on a Car Club member and guest, Sunday Breakfast at Daddy's Grill (3682 Tampa Road 34677 Oldsmar) and a scenic ride after. We will send an email to all when date and time is confirmed.

Next meeting will be Monday February 27th, 6PM at The Eagles Club House, it is $1/2 price burger night!

The Monday March 27th meeting will be at 6PM also at The Eagles Club House.
For March 25th, if anyone is interested; there is the Gulf Coast Region 5th annual car show at the East Lake United Methodist Church, to benefit the "Toy Makers of East Lake". They donate handmade wood toys to children in hospitals. I have been there twice, it is limited to 100 cars if you want to go, I have attached the registration form.


April 24th meeting will be at 6PM also at The Eagles Club House, planning for the MAY FUN GOLF OUTING!

For May30TH, Memorial Day, we will not have a meeting, I have asked Kate at The Eagles, if we could have a golf outing (NOT A TOURNMENT), for club members and guest, other Eagle Residents and guest. The preliminary plan is for us to play on the Forest Course, tentative starting tees times will be 2PM. The cost will be $50 per player, more details to follow. THIS WILL BE FOR FUN, we will be looking for the best and worse scores, most lost balls, and more FUN ideas to come! We will need someone(s) to "chair" this event!

I would also like to thank Bob Vail from the Keystone Motor Club for attending and sharing his ideas. The Keystone Motor Club Meets the 3rd Saturday of every month at FOX's Corner, 16921 Gunn Highway & North Mobley Road, at 10AM.

I enjoyed meeting you folks Monday 31 Jan.
Y'all have a good club and the brainstorming-type meeting seems to work to generate ideas.
Better than the corporate "old business/new business..." type of meeting.

Our brief conversations also generated ideas in me.
Rethinking....
1. On reaching owners of cars likely to join Eagles Car Club:..who are never seen....

We talked briefly about car club signs at stop sign intersections.

It would be less trouble to have fewer signs than to have many at many intersections, and then have to alternate them around. Since there are two entrances into the area. My proposal for ECC signs would be the plug-in standard real estate signs white in color with red letters for contrast. We may talk about color psychology later on.

The Eagles Car Club can come up with your own specifics but basic information. what, when and two contact phone numbers works pretty good.. Too much info would require smaller letters....Every one coming into the area will see them. Interested people will call, then you can answer questions and give details...but give the signs time to be seen. Two signs both sides... More cost effective and less maintenance than many signs/locations..

When they hear about half price burgers, they will put their arms in the air
and yell: "I'm in!" lol

Pete says that on Sunday FEB 19th some people will meet in the parking lot next to the Eagles Club House at 8:00 AM. We’ll leave by 8:15 so as to drive together for conversation and socializing over breakfast in Oldsmar. We are planning to arrive around 830AM at Daddy's Grill (3682 Tampa Road 34677) You can also drive over individually and meetup at the restaurant.

Whether you like cars or golf, or have other interests that will come out in good conversation with friends, It will be a fun time.
