okay, here's the deal... this is a WANT TO HAVE THREAD, as in DONATIONS, with RETURNS...

first off, as some of you may know, Florida is really kicking it up as far as drifting goes, Desoto is at least once a month (and maybe more, those who know, know), and CFRC is hosting events TWICE a month, at least as far as i've last checked... either way, there's basically going to be at least TWO drift events every month for the 2011 "season".

for those of you who want to drift, maybe want to learn, maybe don't want to trash your car on a track, i have an option for you to get in the driver seat... as i've posted, I'm building a Dazzle camo drift car (build here)... so here's my proposition...

any part donated to this car, be it aero, tires, wheels, suspension, body panels, cage, seats, what ever the fuck, will be returned in seat time in this car... i will, once this car is completed, be attending at least 75% of above listed drift events... if you donate any parts to get this car on the track, or to KEEP it on the track, you will drive it at said events... this is an opportunity for people who's cars are either down, to nice to slide, people who want to fuck off in a car, people who want to learn whatever. people like sink, cam, and a few others i know want to drive, but can't seem to get/keep a car that's track ready...

basically how this will work is: you donate parts/small sums of money to acquire parts, and you are guaranteed seat time in this car, consider it a community drift car... all you have to do if you want to drive, is to cover your own expenses to and from the track, and driver costs at the gate... i of course will have the majority of seat time, as it's my car, i'll be paying reg/title/insurance costs to keep it road worthy...

you donate a part, cover entry fees, and you've got a car to drive, no more excuses not to drive...

donations into seat time will be based on parts donated, and est value of said parts, donate a little, drive a little, donate a lot, drive a lot... this is a win win for all involved, i get back into drifting, and you can drift a car, without worry of crashing, damaging your own car, and can really push yourself knowing you can drive to your full potential without worry of the car you're driving...

parts can be shipped, or i can pick up in my frequent trips to Tampa, your name and contact info will be noted, and every time i head out to a drift event, donors will be notified at least two weeks prior to event to see if they want to drive and to make plans...

as a side note, i will, irregardless build this car, and will not be basing the build/attendance based on donated parts, with or without you, this car will be built, and it will be whored out as a true drift missile can be...

i've never seen a thread, or a car concept like this, that supports the local drifting scene, or the enthusiasm of the cars, and the sport it's best suited for...

let me know what you can do, and we'll go from there!

 

I have a slightly dented single cam driver's side fender you can have. I don't really expect to get anything out of it, but next time you come to Tampa, feel free to pick it up.

sean, if the motor is relatively solid, i'll grab it when i snag davids fender... i got a single cam offered already, but it has a bad head gasket....

 

neat idea.
might just have to throw some parts at it cuz that is pretty much the reason why I haven't learned to drift. Don't want to trash my own car, and I just don't want to build a car for it.

 

keeping it 4 lug? if so i have a bunch of 4 lugers with tires i can bring along also have KA-t stuff... dual cam but sure works with KAe t.. also FMIC with piping and lots of other shits
