before you bring the diff get a couple cans of brake cleaner and make sure its extremely clean.

I was specifically told to just wipe it down and not use any harsh cleaners when I got mine welded. Just throwin that out there.

the car im getting has a vlsd and the owner says that welding the diff is not needed...

vlsd's are harder to drift with... not as consistent... but better if you daily drive your car. my drifting improved greatly after getting a welded (DCW - Dan Chilton Welding).

yeah Dan does some awesome welding if your not local its worth the trip dude puts alot of time effort and heart into his work!! just saying.. and yeah the vlsd is kinda sloppy IMO i like Full lock all the time its not like unpredictable or who ever you spell that lol its more clean on transistions and shit imo ive slid open, j30, welded, and a cusco lsd and i like welded the best..

If you daily the car be careful with the weld diff. You go thru tires more and when its wet outside be careful.

ehhh just depends i never really go threw tires unless im sliding but its mainly becuase im 4.75 neg camber in the rear lol
