Well I have been drifting for almost 5 years and feel like the next thing to do is cage my car, get the feel for it and maby enter some comps for fun. I really dont care about winning anything, I just want to drift as much as I can and have fun... LOTS OF FUN!!! I could just go to tracks and slide around but I want to advance in learning. It seems like the most cost affective way is to just buy a s13 shell that already has a cage and drop ma ess arr init. Formula d sounds fun but I have to face the facts: I have 2 daughters, child support, my own bills and I'm broke 90% of the time! If I cant find a good price on a caged shell I'll save up, buy a cage and then maby I'll have a little money to throw 23tstang to teach me how to weld in my cage.

deep, hot, clean penetration is key to having things hold up for a long time. yup yup..<<strong weld in progress.

lol on a serious note though, he's right, now i weld huge heavy duty piping and auger bits for drilling foundation work under high rise buildings. most of my welds have to pass inspections and must have 80% minimum penetration. so yeah welding this stuff is easy. its up to u if you want me to weld it or a shop. most shops dont like cut out cages, they are hard to get to pass inspections some times...

inspections that drift events have are a look, a shake, and a nod.

only the big dog of FormulaD really seems to 'check' them through really good.

Will auto power 6 point with door bars pass tec anywhere for drifting? (I know FD wouldn't) Didn't D1 pass bolt in cages?

D1 passed a lot of cars for "tech" mostly because it was self check tech lol

But as far as bolt ins passing.
Everyone for the most part who drifts down south is running a bolt in, just sayin
