S&W drift cages are DOM, precut and notched for cars without interior, and they are legit with any sanctioned body that you're going to run your prized 240 at. 1 3/4" .120 wall = big, but you won't have to remake it because of a small rule change.

if you have a buddy wanting to weld my old cage in, i might be able to get it cut out for you cheaper than the $450 posted before. tell me a real, fair, price and i'll work on it. typically new materials, cost around $500 for the cage and then welding labor.

i'm fair as anyone on helping people with pricing, just gotta be fair to me too.

I guess Im just going to buy a mig, get some time welding under my belt and weld my own stuff as that seems to be most of the cost. I've been putting off welding for too long anyway.

I'm selling my old cage as well.
You can buy the depressing shell w/cage for $300 and get it cut it out
I can have it cut out for just parts for $350 and let someone weld it in, or have dan chilton weld it in for about $900.

its ERW tubing, and was originally in the yellow s13... I don't know how much or if at all, things have to get changed to s14.

PM if you need more info
bro idk if you already got someone to weld the cage in your car but any cut out cages or prebent weld in cages i weld in. its more of a hobby slash weekend money thing so i pay super low and im a full time payed welder and i can show u weld work. ill beat any price you can find.

hey man listen a roll cage has to pass inspections for drift events not to mention look good. tell ya what if you really want you can come by and ill weld up your cage and show you how to weld man. i got all the stuff already. i dont think u realize how pricey it'll get after you factor in the welder, wire, gas and tank, buying a hood, gloves, sleeves, welding blankets to keep ur car from setting a blaze (lol) a lot goes into it. i already have everything.... and u'll learn from someone who knows what they're doing. idk its up to you bro. text or call me.

What are you doing with the car? Tandem, Formula D, local events? If you are running sanctioned events make sure the material and cage meets their requirements. There's a big difference between ERW and DOM tubing. Also you have to make sure the welds penetrate both surfaces. This takes time and practice to learn and gets expensive

Mike at S&R does great work, contact him or
contact 23tstang, as it seems like he is offering a good deal.

yea ERW is not good for 'high level' tech. but FD ProAM passes it. and D1 passed.... well it was self-tech haha, but yea. i was always under the impression i had dom... still kinda irked that we think its not now... got ripped off son.
