charger drift test
actually i wasnt bashing the charger even tho i do think its a giant piece and the only srt engine they should have ever used was the 10 in the viper
but i was merely stating that watching that video talking about yet another big american motor drifting was boring...noone fuckin cares about a charger drifting, its just like the viper or the gto drifting..they make so much torque its kinda hard not to break traction, so i dont find it very interesting to see a v-8 doing it
now the fact that these little 4 cylinder motors can provide enough torque to break traction that easily is amazing, theres something special about any small motor that can do that. end of story
big v-8 breaks traction easily naturally < small 4 cylinder that breaks traction easily (btw i help my friend work on lt1's all the time and i love those motors)

I dont think is just about braking traction. You still need skills to maintain a drift. The big engines have advantage at high speeds but the small engines or lighter cars have advantage at low speeds. I still think that any car and any engine will do fine as long as the driver knows what to do.

skill is one of the most important factors, but in order to intiate the drift you cant have a ton of traction, and the little 4 cylinder engines causing any loss of traction is still a ton more interesting than a v-8 doing it.....
i like the hybrid swaps and big engines but to me its just boring as i said before

did you actually read what he posted? he said " put that car on a Japanese track and see how it does" I was making the point of why would you do that when the car is built to drift in Formula D. That makes me stupid as fuck?
and the comment projekt made about the wet sock was simply bashing the fact of a charger drifting.
as far as your hick comment goes.....its actually quite funny! do you have any idea where Largo is? Or maybe you made the comment because I put a V-8 in a Japanese car....whatevcer the case, if you have such a problem with me, why dont you talk to me face to face?

and yeah i made the comment bout the v8.

180sx.....you should tell these boys what you plan on doing to your red 240. your comment projekt about sliding a 4 cylinder is hard....have you ever drifted a V-8 car? from what I have seen, and heard about, the 240 with a stock KA is WAY easier to drift than a stock camaro or mustang. My car is a handful to drift. it doesnt intiate any better or have a better exit speed than any 240. My combination is roughly 2700lbs with 300rwhp, not a whole lot diferent than a slightly built SR swap. I built the car to be different.
I have a friend that drifts the shit out of his 3500lbs 300hp LS1, which has a super long first gear, and enough body roll to rub the door handles on the ground. that's a ton harder to slide a light 240.

really? I think that they are using the Hemi is a good choice. the motor is lighter, smaller, and is sold in a ton more cars than the v-10. Plus, the v-10 sounds like a warmed over v-6.

i jumped in a friends 4-speed auto built lt1 85 corvette..no problem sliding it around...i try that in my car it doesnt work out so good
ill restate my opinion....big engine sliding < small engine sliding
theres never going to be a wow factor there

well projekt.....that's your opinion, which thankfully differs from mine. drifting any car beats going to the drag strip any day. I would think that EVERYONE in this area should respect others that decide to slide than go straight. unfortunately, they dont.
