hit that shit up like project pat

but the auto is heavier than a manual by at least 140 pounds!!!!!!!

also fwiw, a t56 shipping wieght is 140lb.

468
-140
328

bill also wanted to argue that a 1uz is lightr because toyota is better at everything (thus the mkIII supra, also one of bills favorites) and the 1uz had to be lighter with its quad cam design, and aluminum everything, beacuse the ls1 is "big" 5.7 liter motor, with one cam, tiny heads with no parts in them, and plastic intake manifold and other bits and peices....even though he searched and found a 1uz longblock wieghs 390, yet its still lighter than a ls1....haha

i love you bill, but you will catch shit about this for a while.

do you people seriously not know how to setup a car? if you add weight to the front, and it actually makes the car handle slightly differeint it *is* possible to go drive it, play with shock, swaybar, tire pressure, tire size, spring, ride height adjustments to make it perform to your liking.

amazing but true.

Thank you...So many people keep saying that it will mess up the whole weight ( sp? ) distribution of the car. As long as you set it up right, it should be fine. Plus with the added power of a turbo 2.4L, it will also make up for the added weight. The only thing I am not liking about the whole idea, is the fact that turbo KA's aren't the best motor, but the fact that you can pick up a decent stock KA for around $250 makes me think that even if I blow one or two up while getting everything worked out, I still will be spending less than if I went with a SR, or something similar.

where are you getting ka for 250 dollar?

honestly, for what you are doing it *might* be cheaper to go the sr route for once. since you will be utilizing EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYthing from the front clip it might be cheaper/better to just go sr.

Yeah, I'm still not positive if it's the route I'm going to take, but the more I think about it, the better it sounds. 2.4L+turbo+Light ass RWD car=Bad-ass car.

Maybe I'll compare the pricing on doing a SR vs. doing the KA-T.
