it's just some pictures of a car with the body kitTHEY MAKE AND SELL..if ya found it on another site,then idk whats up with that.and that sucks for version select.

 

unless they're copyrighted, it's fair game - they do not claim to have installed the kit or own the car - they just identified the kit as one of theirs and they used the pic.

several shops in the county has found their cars on other sites - and after trying to SUE and persuade them to either ID their shop or discontinue useage of the photo, they all have LOST because once again it's fair game as long as they dont claim to have done the work themselves or own the vehicle

 

plus, who's the mushroom head in the 3rd pic

No the pics were not on Versions web site. I think Version would put a MUCH nicer car on their site and have the pics at least semi professionally done.

Rey - There is something out there called Copyright Infringement. If Joe blow took those pics and never gave permission for someone else to use them, then yes he does have a case on his hands. You can not take someone eleses images and alter them and call them yours, Some will go as far as saying "intelectual property" can be considered under copy right infringement. There are alot of laws that protect art and infringement.

As far as the photos in the Jada toys I wondered about that my self..

 

ERRRRRRRRRRR lame answer and let me tell you why. Once again, I know of SEVERAL cases locally where pictures of cars showed up elsewhere and these "companies" tried to take legal action BUT they were ALL shot down because:

HOW can you PROVE that those pictures were taken by JOE BLOW?

HOW can they stop ME, for example, from duplicating that car and then taking a picture of it and then posting it?

How can they stop me from driving by XAT, take pictures of Jovan's car and then I put them on my site and advertise Version select kit?

The same answer - YOU LEGALLY CANNOT !!!

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN PERSUE SOMEONE LEGALLY IS BY PUTTING A LOGO OR SOME SORT OF IDENTIFIER ON THE PICTURE AND THEN WHEN SOMEONE COPIES THAT PIC AND POSTS IT ON THEIR SITE, THEN YOU CAN PERSUE THEM LEGALLY UNDER THAT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. Otherwise, they are freely showcasing your car and that's it!!

It's like going to washington DC and taking a picture of the whitehouse and then posting it on your site for travel planning and scheduling.. Does this mean the secret service is going to be kicking my door down?? NOPE!!!

I have extensive research and background in this sort of matter so I guess I'm right

uh, those pics ARE on the version select site, and all the pics on the site are about the same quality.
