Don't Tein Basics coilovers go for around $900? My little brother has them, and they are pretty stiff. I have Tokico shocks and Tein springs, they are very comfortable, perfect for daily driving, lowers the car very nicely. I drove using them at dday, and they did just fine. I personally, wouldnt even trade them for a stiff ride.

But I have been pursuaded to get Coilovers...

like onis14, i get "paid to do my drifting" . but a v8 diesel custom deluxe truck will slide in gravel here in "stan". as for chris, def go with the megan coilovers. i posted a thread a while back and for the price, megan's are pretty much apexi n1's, except less costlier and will give you a wide range of adjustability. as for importluv, he's right. some adjustable shocks and springs aren't that bad if you're really hurting on the cash. my cousin in kyushu's a poor bastard (drives a 180 rs13 just like meh! ) and he was drifting at huto (ports) in cut springs. just recently was he able to get lowering springs. just look around and be patient. you'll find something.

God, i want to go home, heh

your cousin was in japan and he had a 180 and he could afford all the taxes and gas and he could afford a 180 with no suspension?

dude its easier to find a 180 with mods for cheaper then a stock 180, your cousin sucks.

nobody is really against it.
just kind of a waste. it costs not a whole let less then coilovers.
id rather have megans for 900$, than agx's and decent springs (rs*r, kg/mm, not cheapo)
which would cost pretty close.

But shocks&struts are more comfy.
It really depends on one's style of ride.

No, not everyone is against shocks&struts. I give them

Actually, I dont wanna have to worry about my struts blowing when I could just spend my money on coilovers. I think if I went with springs and struts, the only thing I would get out of it is a lower ride. The only reason I wanted to go with them is because I wanted to conserve my money, but you gotta pay to play!
Slowly but surely my knowledge of suspension is rising....
