DGtrials "That was awesome!" DDay 8 thread
AweXome! Thanks to a modified track layout, drivers staying on course, and overall badassness, we were able to bump the number of runs up from 15 at the last event to 25 (!) at this event!!
Thanks to everyone who came out and showed their stuff today, our Media people (MyCulture, Mark and Jerm aka floridaracing.org, OmniMedia and Ken Kemp), and the super-tacular staff at OGP for making this one the best yet!
DGTA is for real when we say that things are stepping up in FL

Seriously, I have a completly new perspective about drifting after I hitted the track at DDAY myself. I meet so many people, that i dont remember most of their names. I learned so much about my car's limitation, drifting, and even some techniques that is used in my daily commute. After 10 runs, my mind was so filled with so many experiences, that my head ached. I took a rest, and by afternoon, i went back on the tracks, and i was able to hit some turns w/o much trouble. From then on, drifting was FUN! One lap turned out to be 5 runs, and i wanted more, but i have to have a running car to go back home.
I'm the silver S14 driver at DDAY. I have NEVER EVER drifted before, not even on public streets or warhouses. This is my 1st event. And it was an experience that i would never forget. Felt like i lost my virginity or something, you know. To sum it all up, drifting is something.
Im not planning to enter DDAY 9, instead my little brother is entering. This too is going to be his 1st event, but he had a small amount of experience at warehouse drifting though. But anyways, he's going to learn something at that ocala track.
It was really a blast to meet everyone out there, I totally do it 100 times again, if i could turn back time. Thanks to all.
By the way, track time was great.

is your s14 stock?
I watched you most the event, and kinda assumed that you were learning, and the progress you made from beginning to end was great.
On a side note, its funny how many people standing on the side talk shit. "too much throttle, someone take his car away" "doesnt he know what understeer is" "what an idiot, he isnt even sideways" lots of stuff like that. It wasnt even the people in the dirt either, they were making fun of the people who took their time, as to not exceed their limitations. Fuck backseat drifters!

I know. Most of the spectators never drifted before, if the drift isnt D1 quality, it's just shit to them. When youre in the driver seat, NO ONE EXIST! Its just you and the car, thats all! Its usually the people who spends too much time watching the pros drift in videos and internet clip.
If some spectator right now, came up to be and told me im horrible, I dont give a horse's shit what he/she says. I learned alot, and i progressed that day.
Car set up: Tokico blue shocks and Tein springs, intake, muffler, e-fan, drycell battery. That's all.
Oh and i ran on OPEN DIFFERENTIAL!!!! i think i was the only guy with a open diff. So give me sum fucking respect people, gosh.

Suggestion from somebody that wasn't even there this time. Maybe next time, run 3 sessions 'DDAY 4' Style like you did, and then run 1 session 'Full Oval' style, utilizing just the OVal. It'll mix it up, and prove to be more exciting and alot more fun. Just a suggestion.

Well to run a oval, i need power. KADE wont make through the big loop. Like at the last TerTech event, there was 1 KA, and he had a really tough time getting sideways on the big loop.
My next plan is autocrossing, then back to drifting.
