hey guys, i finally stole the internet back from matt.
i qualified for the 1st round, but I wasnt able to make it into top 16. I was #21 I think on the list. Being involved in this, im definetly beginning to learn how this all works. Honestly a lot of what is going on is politics, but that is drifting, and I accept it.
Many of the guys who are well known wrecked or spun out during the sat qualifying rounds, some on both qualifying attempts, and even though a spin is supposed to 'zilch' your run scores, but if you are already established, things bend a little for you.
Regardless, I had a blast. Everyone on our team did excellent and we all had a great time. Matts car and my car did excellent. You really need to get out to one of the events to see and hear just how well our cars stack up. Honestly I think a lot of the guys are capable of more, but their cars just cant keep up.
The course was really rough too, the bank-to-infield transition was a harsh bounce, and was responsible for a lot of damage. It took everyone into the final rounds to finally begin getting comfortable with the course.
Both cars are on the transport, neither are damaged (i flicked my aero off during qualifying lap #1, but the crowd just loved it). Its a lot of pressure, stress, but god it feels good to have an audience to perform for. So please, everyone who can, make it out to Atlanta. We need the support, and we want you guys to really see how good this all is.
