I like corolla's better or equally as good as 240's, if I could start over, I would try either a corolla or an rx7 just to have something different thant 90% of the FL drifters. I like my s13, but think a corolla would be cooler and the dori factor just seems so much greater.

Slash I agree with fully. Most corollas when you buy them are undriftable pieces of shit. Especially if they are open diff. I got mine for $1500. Pretty much the only thing I haven't had to replace is the motor. The 4age engine is pretty much immortal. I've seen 4AGE's that have over 200k miles that can take more abuse than most new engines.

And bill is right also, corolla anything is ALOT less replaceable than 240.

This car is very hard to drift. But it feels good either way. I've heard that once you've mastered the corolla you can drift pretty much anything. I'm really far from mastering it but I won't give up so we'll see.

It's just more of a love car. I hope that makes sense.

well if thats true about mastering the corolla first i guess i did it right. my corolla taught me everything i know about drifting!! i think they do make better drift cars but you have to have the money and resources to see it through. were as with the s13 you can find alot of hand-me-downs from others to help you out. once the support in this country gets as good as the s13 it will be the corolla's turn. as it is in japan it will be here too!!!! AE86're for life!!

FL's skill level isn't that high enough to support a higher # of corollas.

I want to drive one
plus corollas have short wheel base and NO TQ. I can high speed drift the SHIT out of my white car, but corollas are HORRIBLE on low speed turns due to the lack of TQ. ive driven many S13s, owned one as well as my s14 and the corolla is A LOT harder to slide.

next time u watch drift bible, option video, etc, when you see them do an in car video of a AE86 vs a silvia, watch how much you see them fight the wheel in the AE86, thats exactly how it is for us.

im more impressed by a corolla drifter that can get there hand out the window in a complicated drift then i am with tony schultz starting his drifts 20 feet before the turns.

as am i

and i have not signed up for dday5 due to unemployment
meaning NO MONEY

im living off savings

i have open diff-it sucks
even with the open diff high speed drift is easier than low speed
due to no torque

already stated yes

emphasizing that statement-of course

if you can drift an 86 properly in a perfect line i give you props and will pay you for lessons

like the other mark said hes not a master, nor am i
im not a rookie to the slide, but by god i sure as hell am a rookie to the hachi slide

heres a comparison you all will understand

240's are to slide as simple shit is to a 2 minute shit
86's are to slide as last nights 6 day old burrito- its either gonna slide out way to fast resulting in pain or its not gonna do anything at all and make you force it out which also hurts
in the end its happiness but the struggle of doing it is what kills you

lmfao

either way 86 for life

Does that sum it up?

i am one of the only one's around that has mastered the supra drift. my 87 turbo targa weighed 3850lbs and once i dropped it on its nutz it drifted just fine!! i really want to do a mk3 drift car, but as of now i can't, but Nebulon Post Fab has one in the works. should be hottness. hopefully i'll get to drive it!!! reallly i'm a toyota guy, but all my frinds had 240's so i kinda got deals and ended up with one. its not a toyota but i have tons of respect for the chassis and nissan, but ultimately i will end up in a mk3 or my ae86. ask Rob, or matt about my mk3 drifting. 7m open 3" down pipe owns!!!
