i was watching on the video and i noticed this is the method lots of people were using as feint..

they would come into the turn like staying in 1st gear forever.... then they mash it going to the outside of the turn while steering outside, then they shift hard into 2nd and it swings the other way...

is this also a reasonable process??? i am just trying to figure out how it works, if matt said let off first then steer away... then get back on it... and these other guys were like full throttle the whole way...

IT really depends on how fast you are going. if they were going to the left and going to the right, but also just shifting hard into second, then all theywere doing truly was a glorified clutch kick. they might have used a little sway to get some inertia going, but a full on feint doesn't use a clutch kick or shifting to bring the rear of the car around. I would just stay in second gear if i were you jonas, if youre only going first into second your'e going a little bit slow for that firs tturn..

If you're KA, then you probably want as much speed going into that corner as possible and try to maintain as much as you can...if you go in too slow you'll run out of steam for that last left hander (I think I made two right corners after that first left? I remember doing a little manji there for some reason...dunno why though). My technique was exactly what funk said...I'd just drag race into the corner and stay into it until the car came around, sometimes I tapped the brake or just lifted off if the car needed a little more convincing...this also leads to a later initiation though. Towards the end of the day I was doing the baby clutch kick to start the drift sooner.

hey another heads up... i watched the video again lol and again... and i noticed that when people couldnt get sideways on the first sweeper, they tend to turn into the turn more... resulting in a spin out... so just try to remember CLUTCH KICK!
