no, there is a closed up mall right behind Bucks stadium thats perfect. but there are 24hr security and its all blocked off. i went in there for a few minutes one day and it was a blast. i think we need to go there and just bribe the security guard. and have at it!!!

its not that as easy as it sounds..."use a big parking lot, like target or something". with a LARGE company like a target, walmart etc, there are ALOT of hoops needed to jump through and it is nearly impossible to use something like that or else the SCCA or the Sunriders would have already have had an autox in something like that.

the lot at the dog track at tampa bay downs requires a minimum of 5million dollar insurance coverage which along with being very difficult to get, is quite pricey. The dog track on Gandy just flat out told me NO...after I had gone there about 4 times talking to different people.

making one of these events happen isnt as easy as it sounds. i promise, if it was, you would have a date for dday3 already. and dday4, dday5, etc. it'll happen, just hang in there.

 

we get messed with just haning out there I dunno about them letting us slide around the parking lot.......sounds fun though

 

What about the fairgrounds where they auto-x sometimes?

 

they're building an amphitheater....and that spot wouldn't be so good for drifting, they use the front straight and pit lane from the old racetrack. The autox setups there only have one turn because of that.

 

yea there isnt even an SCCA scedule for fairgrounds at all this year

how about the ghetto dog track on Florida.

 

in ft myers where the gulf coast autocrossers run. i think doomreaper knows the guy?

 

that place would be pretty fun.....I don't think I have enough room in my car for the amount of tires I'd probably burn up drifting there for a day
