Default understeer correction?

i have noticed recently that my car has some understeer to it.I was just wondering what i could do to get rid of this understeer.I know my front tires have a lot to do with it but what are some other things?

my set up is-95 240sx se
-192,XXX miles (therefore no kind of good bushings or mounts)
-eibach springs(the red ones?)
-kyb struts
-front tires Classic Radial sr,size 205/55/16
-rear tires Pirelli P6000 ,size 205/55/16

and thats it for the suspension mods. Thanks in advance for your help

some stickyer front tires and camber plates. maybe try to weight transfer more when you drift. tap the brake a lil sometimes.

a lot of the time its just how your driving the car... entering corners too hot can many times result in understeer...

Also when the car starts to understeer, natural instinct tells you to turn the car further into the corner, but this is exactly what to NOT do.. when the car begins to understeer, you have a few options.

A: turn the wheel slowly back to neutral, at times the car will begin to grip and turn in sharper (seems backwards but it works!)
B: ease up on the braking if you are heavilly breaking (try to get the tires back inside the "traction circle" this is the same tatic as A: but just from another side of the circle)

C: do something violent such as a clutch kick, drag, or e-brake (these are fine for drifting, but for track racing arent the best idea speed wise)

So there are others, but really try your driving before you go modifying the car, even the worst noseheavy FF cars can be oversteered if unbalanced entering the corner.. and the most oversteering cars can plow through a corner if the entry is too fast and the driver inputs too much braking and wheel turn at once (outside tire's traction circle).

your front tires suck, buy new ones and the understeer will go away. go and look at your treadwear on your front tires. i bet its higher than the backs. tires selection is very criticle in a cars handling balance. i bet the treadwear on your fronts is close if not over 500.

your front tires suck
Agreed. my dad bought them while i was out of town, so i had no choice and he thought he was getting a deal.
tire pressure i keep it under 30 but i know wwhen the tire heats up the air expands.what is the recommended psi?
Also usually when i get understeer i just yank the e-brake.Trying to get out of the habit of turning more into the corner, because i realize i used to do that and it dont do shit until the tires finally grip and throw everything off.

under 30 psi is crazy low....go up to 35 at least, I dunno what the max psi on those tires would be. I had the best results with about 40 - 42psi in the sumitomos I used to have, but those also had silly weak sidewalls and a max inflation pressure of around 50.

listen, just do me a favor and switch your fronts to the back and your backs to the front and come back and tell me if you could feel a difference. when you switch your tires put the fronts at 35psi and the backs at 40psi. go do this now and tell me if there is a difference. and if you can't feel a difference i'll wash mattbacks car. eheheheheheheh.
