I'm a little biased too cause Sunshine's closer to my house too but I'm down for organizing races at both places. I like the index racing idea with $50-$100 buy in, brackets, some type of pay out. I'm gonna be making phone calls later in the week about setting this up with Sunshine and insuring the event with an insurance company so I will keep you guys posted.

Yeah i'll throw bikes into the mix. I posted on here to see what kind of feedback i would get to help me plan the best event that everyone can enjoy....and yeah Sunshine could use a remodeling. I'm new to bike drag racing though, so how should i set up the bikes? just normal heads up racing or index or what?

Would probably depend on how many bikes show up. You can do it by classes or grudge match it.

Sunshine is cool because its close to my house also but the fact that by the 10th car down the track is filled with dirt from the parking lot and there goes your 60ft time. If you do it then make a drag radial slicks event so street tires dont mess everything up. If there is money on the line people dont want to race on dirt roads!!!!

wouldnt that attract less people if i make it a drag radia slicks event since most people are probably racing their street cars with street tires. They would have to go out and buy different tires just to race

Alright I got another question....should I plan the event during the day on a weekend or at night on the weekend or at night during the week?

i like the index idea too! and as for sunshine, the grounds may not be in great shape but they keep the track surface in good shape tho. i guess anyone that thinks this track is in bad shape needs to go to lakeland drag strip, then you'll love sunshine! lol

also anytime would be great, maybe week nite might be good since all the other events are on the weekends. also day events durring the summer heat are total fail! lol
