I bracket raced for years. won many events 1992 pro street champion at gainesville. won 2000.00 at wdiz street machine nats. in 93. with a mustang ll no tach stock shifter ran hi 13s. some tips I can offer for consistancy, run slicks definately. make many time trials. and dial your quickest time dont try to sandbag. if your are ahead by enough let off. dont screw with the tune between rounds. shallow stage every time, when the second staging light lights stop dont roll at all this will make et more consistant.maybe a little slower but consistancy is what you are looking for.I am building another mustang to race now . it is a lot of fun to run if you win sometimes.

I forget what car it was at BMP on sunday but he dialed in a 16.00 and ran a 16.00, i was pretty amazed (not at the time but the shear fact that he ran the exact time). I'll bet that dude came away with some cash

I'm racing in the Sportsman/Footbrake class. I know it takes lots of practice, it is just frustrating sometimes. It's never fun wasting money on buybacks. Things are starting to look up though. My rt's are better and last time out my runs were within a hundreth of the quickest one. I do still have a tendacy to redlight with -.00X's. I'm thinking of changing to a taller front tire so that my rollout is longer. Right now my front tires are only 23.5"

UnderDog is a Ford Escort....Omni is close...

I was never any good at bracket racing, it seemed like every time I would run a new best they would tell me I was a loser
