1. He can run those times all night long because he does not have to worry about such things like warming the bottle to get proper PSI, or the bottle emptying out.

2. he spent the 2-9k on that kit rather than taking the cheap way out and just getting a 500$ NOS kit that a grampa could but on his buick (no pun intented )

3. personaly i like the sound a turbo makes and the look of one in a engine (if you can see it).

once again this is all my VIEW and is not ment to take seriously just what I THINK......

I would have to agree that a turbo car is impressive, but I think you are missing the point. I do not have anyone writing checks to cover the work being done on my car, I am paying for it. If someone spending more money to make their car faster impresses you, once again, you've missed the point, I am always more impressed with a well thought out game plan that works rather than someone dropping their car off at the shop with a blank check and saying call me when it's done. I don't care if it's turbo, supercharger, nitrous, or N/A, if you had nothing to do with the planning and execution, yes the car might be impressive, but you are not. Chance, you are barely seeing a 1/2 second drop from motor to nitrous times, is this because you are too lazy to heat the bottle? Or just scared of the car? If it is the first, just put it in the tub, and run hot water over it for a few minutes, put a blanket over it in the car, and it will be good for the night, this is what I have always done, and I have never had a problem. If it's the latter, I can't wait to be there for your first turbo pass. You are so quick to say that turbos are better than nitrous, but you never used your nitrous kit to it's potential. In my opinion, nitrous is actually easier on your motor because it is only activated for a short time, whereas your turbos will be making boost every time you get on it (I know, you won't get on it all the time ) Maybe it doesn't sound as cool as a turbo, but I would rather nothing be heard until it's too late anyway. I'm not going to be the guy that drives around popping his BOV, and frankly, that's pretty annoying. I don't know, maybe if all I had to do was ask and I could get a turbo kit, I might have one, but as long as I'm paying the bills, and doing my own work, $4000 to do what I've already done seems like a complete waste of money. If you were paying the bills, you would probably be a little more inclined to make your nitrous kit work too.

I'm sorry, they've updated the description, 314 rwh and yes, the car has a 3.42 gear(doesn't necessarily help with a turbo) and a looser converter, they also raised the price to $4395!!

waste of money

actually i write all my own checks and have payed for not only my car (which is payed for) but also every part i have put on it along with my turbo kit with my own money, so thanks for assuming that one boss..... and i will be more than happy to try your engenius NOS warming idea the next time i am at the track so i can run my car at its full proformance.... and just for fun with numbers on my car a turbo makes more sence because on stock internals with T3-T4 hybrides the average hp gain at the WHEELS was 228hp, and i did not get t3-t4 hybirds.......

Low 13's Jonas? I will be most impressed with a low 13. Perhaps we will have to line up on track day. If all goes well I'm hoping for a mid 12. Thats if I can get changes done in time and my window is closing rapidly.

I didn't realize I was talking to Doogy Howser, M.D., my apology. Then I don't understand why you wouldn't want to get the most out of what you have, rather than throw more money at it. I did e-mail Turbo Technology to see what they would suggest for more power, I have seen twin kits for Impala's, but they are experimental, no pricing, oh well, I guess there just aren't enough out there to mass produce a good kit for them. Why must it always be a pissing match between you and I? Seriously though, get some slicks, warm the bottle as I said, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

hrm... I'm going to be one of the very few around here with a bottle, sounds like I'll have a large number of turbo guys to pick on me and my lil' ol' bottle...

Both power adders have their pro's and cons.. and their is still a lot to consider when using a turbo (you can still go lean with a turbo ya know) as their is with using NOS...

Wish I had a bottle for my baby ...

Most good nitrous setups aren't plug and play at all like yours chance. A lot of people put a lot of tuning hours into their setups to make them as efficient, reliable and just as safe as possible.

The problem with turbos on your car with it being your daily driveris you wil ALWAYS be in full boost no matter what setting your boost controller is it. You have to remember you have a 3600 stall with 3.73s and the rpms will always be high enough to hit peak boost with an engine of that size. You are going to get about 6mpg in the city and maybe 12-15 on the highway and you want it to be your daily driver ... very dangerous and unreliable especially if you want this to be started and completed within 2 1/2 weeks on the stock shortblock. Your cruising for a disaster imho. Since you have your money and it is what you want to do and you understand the huge problems that will be associated with your turbo setup. Then have at it and have fun, and best of luck to ya bud
