i agree...my friend and i run sub 13.99 and never have they asked us to wear helmets...it depends on the event and track i guess

Billy, My cost on the swap was $2500.00 plus some misc. parts. Cost of car $1400.00 and I'm not far behind you. Also according to your statement it sounds as if you do not believe that you can pick up a couple hundred hp by going turbo. Thats fine. You and I more than likely have spent around the same money. Like I said NOS is not a bad thing otherwise I would not have used it in the past. May use it in the future. And that will surely suck for you and the big bad buick.

OK, so you've only spent $3900 on your whole car to get to this point My statement was that the cheapest turbo kit for my car is $4000 and they are only projecting a 12.60 (yes projecting, they haven't even run it). Sure I could pick up a couple hundred horsepower going to a big custom turbo, but then I would also spend a couple thousand on a fuel system, and who knows how much on a motor that would actually hold together. The kit would definately be quite a bit more than $4000, and I am not willing to spend that kind of money on this car. This car was built to be a fun car, and putting that kind of money into a Buick is retarded, not fun. I never figured the car would go as fast as it has, and for that I am pleasantly surprised. How could it possibly suck for me if you have a motorswap, turbo, and nitrous to beat my 4300 lb stock engined sled with nitrous? You SHOULD beat me, the fact that I am faster now makes no sense. When you do put that nitrous kit on, I hope it is to get better times for yourself, or maybe beat another car, because if you're doing it to beat me, I've already won.

If it was my intention to only race 1 guy your right. However my car will not see the juice anytime soon. I have also been quite surprised with where I'm at with what I've got. Who would figure a bone stock sr20det with good tuning would see an 8.229 at sunshine. I will be happy to see where this car goes without juice first. Also your car with the turbo kit projected at 12.60 w/ turbo kit I will have to asume didn't include posi w/ better gearing and slicks.

awww nos is fun, but my baby is about to have twins in a week or so .... i probly should not get into this turkey shot but what the fuck right?.... personaly if there was 2 cars sitting right next to each other and one was turboed and the other had NOS i personaly would be more impressived by the one with turbos, there is a few reasons for this....

1. He can run those times all night long because he does not have to worry about such things like warming the bottle to get proper PSI, or the bottle emptying out.

2. he spent the 2-9k on that kit rather than taking the cheap way out and just getting a 500$ NOS kit that a grampa could but on his buick (no pun intented )

3. personaly i like the sound a turbo makes and the look of one in a engine (if you can see it).

once again this is all my VIEW and is not ment to take seriously just what I THINK......

The kit was for an Impala SS so it already has a 3.08 and posi just like my car does now. They were only claiming 420 horsepower, and they didn't say flywheel or wheel, so it's probably safe to say flywheel. That's 160 over stock, real bang for the $4000 bucks
