Installed Hellcat intake on scatpack todayI work construction and was off today because of the rain. I was hesitant on taking my bumper off my car which doesn't even have 500 miles on it but I said what the hell and did it anyway. I cant believe I was nervous about doing it, but man the bumper removal and install was esy as hell and took about 2 hours to do everything from start to finish. While installing the hellcat airbox, I found that it would be impossible to do the install without removing the bumper so if you think it is, it isn't. Also, you have to remove the headlight to get the snorkel in. The intake draws air from the fender like the stock unit and then also draws air from the front of the car like ram air, the new shroud included in the kit seals with the snorkel not allowing any hot air in and almost sits flush with headlight and sits just beyond the grill. Any questions, feel free to ask. I felt an instant change of sound not from the car under acceleration. can hear much on the video included reving the engine except more air sucking. Was also interesting to see how fast idle air tempertaures dumped after sitting at a light compared to stock. Well worth the 130 bucks and the time to install it. Any questions feel free to ask.

Sent from my XT1585 using TapatalkI jacked the car up and started with removing the wheels, then removing a ton of pushpins to release the liner. Under there is the 2 very easy to get to bolts where fender meets bumper. Repeat process for other side. Next I moved to the bottom of the bumper and removed like 5 or push pins and about 8 screws or so. next I moved to the top and removed the bunch of push pins on the plastic piece and then the 2 bolts on either side. Don't forget to disconnect the side markers and fog lights. After that, I grabbed the bottom of the bumper and the top and kinda lifted from the bottom first and she slid right out. There are 2 guide pins on either side at the top so it is virtually impossible for the bumper to not go back on the exact same way it came off. It goes back on perfectly with no alignment issues and all the bolt holes line right up. You wont use a single swear word reinstalling. Very easy task.
So yeah
2 bolts behind each fender lining to remove
2 bolts on top (one on either side)
8 or so little screws at the bottom


HEadlight is very easy to remove as well once bumper is off. 4 bolts and the headlight assembly has guides as well ( no alignment issue when reinstalling)
I didn't even disconnect the wires- I just unbolted it so I could pull it forward al ittle and then fished the snorkel through and bolted back up

I can only imagine how fast temps rise with an open element that has no access at all to fresh air

lots of push pins to get the fender well liner out, disconnect side marker light wiring, several 8 mm bolts/screws on bottom panel, several push pins on the top panel, two bolts in each fender well, 1 bolt in each corner at the top, pull bumper off and disconnect wiring for fog lightsAttached Thumbnails
