Default $100 car update

well i was a little under the weather yesterday so ididn't do to much.

Today though i went to town and got the head off, I think im going to need a new one, There are cracks on the head between each valve along with some other cracks here and there. It's my belief that the person who had this car drove it for a while with it over heating and fucked the head.

heres some pics im sure you can't see the crack though.

The good news is that the piston and cylinder walls look perfect!! can still see the hash marks all the way around the walls. I think this engine may have been rebuilt at one point, there is a mopar remanufacture sticker on the head. Well off to take the dog to the vet then start calling around to look for a head.

dude! No, dont! Those heads are fine! EVERY single head out there has them! Including all the 12 and 11 sec rides! MANY have tested them and found no problems. However, everyone also freaks out the first time they see them! I did! Dont worry about those cracks, I PROMISE it will be fine!

(unless they are holes or something)

I agree with Jeff 100%

That crack is like standard issue for these heads. Don't throw it out, its still pefectly good

yes its true about the cracks in Turbo heads but not a big deal unless it been overheated bad, i've send my head to machine shop because the crack were a little wide and good thing i did as the head failed the pressure test, so i was out 25 bucks but if i would have bolted the head on the car emagine the time and money i would have wasted.

Oh yeah I found 4 Common Blocks in the Junkyard today me so Happy, Oh yeah they were complete, turbo and all. All were in MiniVans with auto's attatched. But man that place is expensive, 52 bucks for a Fiberglass hood for a van
