Just get a common block and worry about the rest later, don't worry what intake they have on them as long as they are 89 and newer. Obviously if you think it is not an 89 stay away. I know you can push the non common blocks pretty far, but why not start off with a sure thing?
Well thats the plan, but I'd like to have her running a turbo engine before I finish college. I still have a few people to prove a point too

the blocks have problems of destruction at high boost, the webbing in older blocks is weak i guess that is why most don't use a 88 or older block for built up, think of it as a extra insurance(common blocks) never have to worry about the bottom end again
