Welcome!

You made the right choice. I am also a fellow ex-DSMer and went with an SRT-4 because I was tired of spending all my money on DSM's that break and fall apart all the time.

Pics as promised...
I also put on one of MPx's billet aluminum shift-knobs. I made it a point to attach it to the old shifter (Before I put in the Mopar short-throw) and tried to rip it off, no dice. This shift knob is niiiice, Albeit pricey. Yes, the head unit is a Jensen, as I didn't want to drop $1000 on a head-unit. It plays DVDs/MP3 discs, and plays discs with AVI's and DIVX video. Oh, and it controls my iPod. (I run all my speakers through external amps.)
Eventually, I'll fabricate something to mount one of my modded xboxes in there, and out of sight.

Yeah, for the price, it's hard to beat! I ordered a compatible navigation system, it has yet to arrive. I can't wait.
(Although I would rather have an RB1 for the stock appearing look.)

You're right the RB1 screen is small as hell. (I just like that look factory ) As far as the Jensen goes, I really do like it. For the install: With a generic wiring harness adapter there ends up being a lot of excess wiring in the stereo cavity, make sure you've got plenty of zip-ties around. I used the Wal-Mart mounting equpiment and am fairly pleased with the appearance. Now, on to function: The screen covers the HVAC controls, which isn't a BIG deal, I can still rotate the AC strength dial without an issue with the screen out. (I have huge hands too, so that says a lot.) So far it's recognized every disc I've put in it, and I have yet to have it skip or lock up on me because of heat. I would caution you that this unit does run pretty hot, so be careful not to block the fan in the rear of the unit, when you install it. The touch-screen is nice and bright, and it's fairly intuitive. Honestly for the number of features this thing brings to the table for that price, it's an astonishing value. So, yes, I would say I like it a great deal.

Congrats. You should be very happy with your new choice of car. I owned my srt4 for over 82,000 miles and I never had a problem with it ever. It was the most bullet proof car I've ever seen. I majorly upgraded my car and enjoyed the occasional beat down I threw on an unsuspecting vette, camaro, mustang, or cobra. It was a very fun car and you'll enjoy it very much. Again, Congratulations. HAV0K
