Educate yourself, know the labor rate, how much per hour? going rate is 75-95, any more than that you are getting hosed. Know how many hours it should take, if those bearings take 1.5 hours per side by the book, and they charge you 3 hours per side then you are getting hosed. know how much the parts should cost. Call advance auto parts, napa or another dealer to find out how much they charge for the part. If the bearing is 150 bucks from another supplier and the shop is charging you 350 bucks per bearing you are getting hosed. The shop has a right to mark up the parts but If they are even coming near doubling the price of the part, they are hosing you. know those three things, you wont take a beating.
