head studs
im running just about 14.1-1 compression and i im getting headstuds. will oem be sufficiant or should i go with arp or something and why?
14:1 compression? is that even possible? the most I have ever seen in a neon or 420a engine is 13.5:1 and I would DEFINATLEY suggest headstuds at that cylinder pressure, (although on second thought boost probably creates just as much pressure and headstuds arent needed for it)

i have 12.5-1 pistons decking the head .045(.045=1.125 points of compression. ) 13.625-1. i was contemplating removing the middle layer of the headgasket which gives it another half point
careful of valve clearance then, otherwise you may have an unpleasant surprise...I say keep the middle layer, 13.6:1 compression is enough(your starter will thank you)
