Default installed my MegaSquirt this weekend, driving impressions

well, as it says I installed the megasquirt this weekend....and oh is it so much better than the RRFPR/AOBE setup I was using before, the transition into boost no longer feels like I'm being kicked in the head, nice smooth and powerful, fully adjustable fuel control(will add spark control in a couple weeks) a full standalone for the cost of a SAFC, I give the MegaSquirt 2 thumbs up, its drives like stock....or what stock would be if they made a stock 1st gen turbo, love the seamless transition into boost, and I love the fact that it has a built in electronic boost controller....going to make a circuit for it and use it later

the stock computer is still doing that, I just clipped the stock injector grounds and ran them to MS instead, so the stock computer thinks its controlling fuel still as well, when it now has nothing to do with fuel, a few wires and I'll have spark control as well, but I want fuel nailed down first

well, after a couple days of tuning the car just keeps getting better, havent even installed the spark side of things yet either, and the nice thing is I can switch between a map for fuel economy or one for power with a couple mouse clicks....in realtime

the interface is a visual windows map, the tuning program itself is open source c, the actual firmware on the computer is written in assembly for speed....

well, it seems my car likes 50psi fuel pressure, I'm almost back to as fast I was before the install, my main problem seems to be the fact its hard to tune by yourself with just a datalog to go by, I really need to find someone to drive me around while I tune, that and the fact that with no 1:1 regulator(do have a RRFPR but its vacuum refrence is disconnected since I dont want to throw off my fuel map) as soon as I go into boost my fuel pressure drops by that same amount which doesnt matter too much because I am still rich as hell at anything other than idle or cruise, mainly due to the lack of a wideband o2 sensor to tune with, my narrowband helps, but its really not enough, anyone want to let me borrow a wideband for a few hours?
