Thats ugly as hell. I can't believe that's taking the SRT-4's place. Worst decision Dodge has made.

hey now, I'm partial to first gen eclipses(92 and 93 models in particular) and while the GSX is of course the way to go, the GS still has better looking side skirts IMO, but anyway, I dont suppose the caliber will be that bad, but for for what its going to cost I would rather have a Mustang GT, or the stripped down EVO, heck I saw a guy pick up a new caliber on neons.org, ended up paying 22k, this is the non SRT/non R/T, base auto....had a lot of options I'm sure, but 22K are you nuts?

Lets not get crazy now, that thing would dust a civic in second gear, either way its gonna be too much for me to want to spend on a hatchback but if they do come out with an awd version I may change my tune.

Funny you say that. Not everyone has good credit and some who do rather not fall in a hole paying off a car for 3-6 years. BTW, it is ugly and I rather get a Neon SRT-4 which is currently what I'm shopping for ... don't think your special because you drive a new vehicle and have good credit and a good job. A lot of us do have good credit and a good job... doesn't mean we have to fall into a hole right away and buy a "NEW" car. For someone who has everything "good" you sure need to get back to school and learn how to write and spell. It should of said: "This is coming from a guy who drives a 92 eclipse." Don't get cocky...

Like I stated, it's an ugly car. Seems like a lot of people agree. That engine bay is disgusting and so is the rest of the car.

nothing disgusting about the engine bay...heh, I want a "world" 2.4 already, I am hoping it will have the same bolt pattern as the current neon 2.4/2.0(1.8 for the export neon/mini cooper) then I would be able to swap it into my 98, variable valve timing would be nice...in any case, the first step for an aftermarket for that engine is getting the caliber into production(I want an aftermarket mainly because I want oversize head gaskets more than anything else, because of course it doesnt come stock with forged pistons either) I want a built world 2.4 already...

I kid you not, I saw a new Caliber driving around Orlando the other day. I've heard that sometimes rental companies in key markets get new cars early. Dealers should be getting SE/SXT/RT models sometime soon. I wouldn't be too suprised if we see some Caliber SRT-4's sometime in Fall.
